The 15th summer season for Le Sens de l’Eau

In 2010, Nico, Pierre-Julien, and Sam founded Le Sens de L’Eau, with the desire to create a business that reflected their own image, for clients who wanted the same thing: to experience magical moments in beautiful, unspoiled nature. Fifteen years later, we’re still here, ready to further develop our services with a focus on quality service.

A close-knit team of guides

Over the summers, we’ve been joined by several instructors, all of whom have successfully captured our guiding philosophy and, in turn, offered incredibly enriching canyoning excursions. The 2025 results are extremely positive: very satisfied clients, instructors with incredible energy, whether in the classic canyons (and with lots of water this year!) or on the Rodellar via ferrata. And now that the 2025 accounts are complete, we wish you a wonderful winter and look forward to seeing you in May 2026 for new adventures in the Guara Gorges!

Altissimo in Sierra de Guara for its 30th anniversary!

To celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary, Altissimo invited its employees to Rodellar for three days of total escape. The SENS DE L’EAU team of guides took charge of offering them daily activities in the region’s most prestigious canyons: Péonéra, Formiga, Balcès, Otin, and more.

New: the Rodellar Via Ferrata

Discover our new activity starting this summer 2025: the VIA FERRATA DE LA VIRGEN in RODELLAR.

In the heart of the Sierra de Guara, this aerial route ascends a cliff using metal rungs to ascend into the Mascun Canyon. The view from the summit of the via ferrata is simply breathtaking. Ideal for beginners, this route is sometimes scheduled for half-days on Wednesdays, with a 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. departure. Tip: We also offer evening slots at 5 p.m., to admire the sunset over the Sierra de Guara!

Discover the spring canyons…

Spring in the Sierra de Guara is ideal for a unique canyoning experience. Water levels are often quite high in traditional canyons, so we schedule canyons that are usually dry but have become aquatic due to the weather conditions. Here are some new canyons:

– BASENDER: an incredibly sculpted dry canyon in the upper Rio Vero, offering beautiful rappels. Date: Tuesday, May 6

– FORNOCAL: a long, technical, aquatic descent with rappels and slides. Date: Wednesday, May 7

– VIRGEN + PETIT MASCUN: a combination of two canyons for a wide variety of activities: rappels, jumps, slides, etc. Dates: Thursday, May 1 / Saturday, May 3 / Sunday, May 4 / Sunday, May 11 / Thursday, May 15 / Saturday, May 31 …

– MASCUN: a legendary, large, long, and challenging canyon for an extraordinary adventure! Date: Thursday, May 29
